I have three Persians cats and an American Pitbull...of the cats there is a female w/ two males..they have adapted well...in the process of trianing a two month old American Pitbull ..seems like it is going well although a puppy is more work. There is an expense to think of ..I spend about 300 cientos mil pesos per month on catfood,dogfood, and kitty litter. It is not cheap but it is worth it. All of my pets are from Colombia, two of my pets were rescued from horrible situations which were well worth the money to save them..pets add a great addition to my life in Colombia I wish I could do more.

did you enter colombia with you pit bull or di you get it there. I want to come to Colombia but i keep hearing i cannot bring our family dog who is a pit.

Sorry, but people have told you true - you can't bring a pit bull into Colombia.聽 Below is the wording from the law which specifically prohibits it:

Tener en cuenta la ley 746 del 2002, en su art铆culo 108E 鈥淒ado su alto nivel de peligrosidad, se proh铆be la importaci贸n de ejemplares caninos de las razas Staffordshire terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Pit Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, o de caninos producto de cruces o h铆bridos de estas razas, as铆 como el establecimiento de centros de crianza de esta clase de ejemplares caninos en el territorio nacional鈥�.

Roughly translated:
Take into account law 746 of 2002, in its article 108E "Given their high level of dangerousness, the importation is prohibited of canine specimens of the breeds Staffordshire terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Pit Bull terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, or of canines the product of crosses or hybrids of these breeds, as well as the establishment of centers to raise this class of canine specimens in the national territory."
