Did you plan your budget before your move to Haiti? If so, how did you go about it?

How do you save money in your day to day life? Do you find there are any areas where you can't cut costs?

Do you have any tips about saving money in Haiti? For example, getting the best deals on accommodation, grocery shopping and dining out, the best value transportation, etc..

Are there any apps or websites that have helped you to save money?

Team Haiti,

If you are white, you need a trusted Haitian friend when you first get to Haiti.聽 They need to negotiate for you on big items when you aren't present.聽 Or you will pay more.聽 Learn how to shop like a Haitian for food items.聽 If you shop at the grocery store it is very expensive.聽 You have to learn to pic up things on the street.聽 In time you will learn what everything costs and how to barter.聽 Randy
