Please, I would just like to confirm, will they allow me to pass via causeway if I have NOC from Bahrain? I have admission in a University in Bahrain and am worried about that. ☹️ Thanks a lot.

raheelar

Thank you for feedback, yes you are right. Causeway situation and feedbacks are very mixed. Some guy who was rejected two times (Marketing Specialist)  and then we was able to get through with some of his friends.

XTang

@Chespinsquills:  No one can say for sure but you can try your luck. If you are an active student in Bahrain, can prove it with documents then I don't think there should be an issue.  But do note that as an expat student in Bahrain, the University is obligated to provide a visa for you so depending on the guy at the counter, he can throw that at you.

@raheelar:  Yes, that is exactly the issue.  Some people from my ex-company with titles of computer programmer and accountant were able to cross without issue almost every day until the day before yesterday and were then asked to go back.  It does seem that if you have other people in the car who are eligible to enter Bahrain (residents and other nationalities) and you are the only odd one out, you are able to slip through most times.

Chespinsquills

Thanks a lot.

usmanali101

Dear  you can go now in Bahrain any time just only  driver and labor profession not allowed.

XTang

Actually that is not the case.  People with other professions have also been turned back.  As I said, the situation is not very clear.

At the causeway they are checking on a case to case basis and even if you manage to get through based on your profession from the Saudi Passport side you may be stopped and returned at Bahrain Passports.

For legitimate cases if you manage to get through the Saudi Passport side you can make your case with the Bahrain Passport people as they are more open to discussion in my experience.

Saudis just flat out say no and ask you to uturn if you don't have a Bahrain visa or your profession isn't on the accepted list.

Amuri140

Right now im at the bridge let me check and i will update you guys. My iqama is Marketing Specialist

Chespinsquills

Dear respected people, may I kindly know if there are any updates?

zaheerabbasrizvi

Situation is same. No any good news for Pak8stanis

umais009

That's bad..

Hani196

What happened? We were waiting for your reply.

fahad444

Update: My profession is that of financial clerk and I went to Bahrain on last thursday and came back on friday .

The official on the checkpost sent me to higher official inside the building and when I went inside the official was talking to his colleague to inform the officials on the checkpost if the profession is ok they shouldnt send any Pakistani inside the building for the visa.

So yes, it is dependent on the profession on your Iqama.

fahad444

PS. I went through the causeway

Hani196

Your profession?

Amuri140

Alhamdulillah
I went in without any issues. Only the new thing what I felt about it that, every window is asking your Iqama and checking your Profession.
The passport officer at Bahrain explained me that its not allowed but as u born in Saudi Arabia let me check ur profession is allowed or NO. (Marketing Specialist) and im here in Bahrain till now.

MGulKhan

Currently, mobility and renewals are working fine. Few new work visas are issued in last week but rejections are still too high.

Dependent visas have still problems. Don't why Bahrain has put strict restrictions on dependent visas.

Visit visas are still not working.

Please read information on the following link. Although it is for RCSI students, but same implies to UoB students also. It is clearly written for student NOC " The visa approval is subjected to the laws and regulations of immigration in The Kingdom of Bahrain. Processing time for each student varies. ..."

I hope NOCs for students visas are always approved from NPRA. So, you can enter in Bahrain one the basis of NOC. However, I would suggest better to enter via airport by taking a flight.

Chespinsquills

Thanks so much!

I think the issue with dependent visas because of the minimum wage set by new rules. previously you could not get any dependent visa with salary less than BHD 250 and now it is raised to BHD 400. please correct me if this is a different case.

zaheerabbasrizvi

I think Only Engineers, Doctors and Managers are allow to go Bahrain by Cause way

Ummm I am a student here in Germany but still receive more than 250 BHD in my bank every month, but while my Dad’s company applied for my visa, they never asked for any such detail or pay slip etc. :/ , inshort, what about if u r a student and have a European resident permit although u have done bachelors and spent 22 years of life in Bahrain ? I can’t hear an update from them about the visit visa applied for me on 18th July !

XTang

1) The issue with dependent visa is NOT due to the salary requirements.  These were changed a while back (end of last year if I am not mistaken) and those issues are related to individuals not nationality.  Browse the threads in the forum and you will find that people of all nationalities had issues with the salary requirements when applying for dependent visas; namely how to register new salary in GOSI.  The current issue is linked to nationality and extended security checks / unofficial ban.  This impacts all new work, dependent and visit visas as I have clarified many times
2) It does not matter whether you have European residency or lived in Bahrain or whatever.  As of today, if you have a Pakistani passport and don't have a visa or residency for Bahrain; you will face problems due to this situation.  I would suggest not to over complicate and over think it by putting variables like these.  Keep it simple; you are a Pakistan national who wants to come to Bahrain and needs a new visa - until they officially roll out the new requirements; you may get lucky and get a visa after long delays but in all likelihood, you won't.

Latest update: My son's dependent Visa was applied for the second time last week, but it has again been rejected. Immigration guys have given no reason other than saying admin decision.

XTang

Sorry to hear that but as I said, this is a rejection based on the current situation.  Some visas get approved but most are rejected.  Nothing to do except keep applying.

Entity-Paradigm

Thanks XTang.
The irony is, it is my government employer who is applying. In spite of  being a government employee, I am unable to get the dependent Visa because I am Pakistani.

UK007

Today 2 visit visas of our company also rejected, our company applied for these visas second time, during last week.

Awaisee

Hi XTang ,

If the person we went canceled from Bahrain after spending 2 years and want to come on new work permit, he will be facing same issue as first time people are facing?

Advise please,
Thanks

XTang

Yes.  It will be treated as a new work visa application.   It might get approved due to previous security record in Bahrain but that is no guarantee.

Awaisee

Thanks for your prompt response,

I will apply and will get back to you with updates.

Zohaiby2k

Today i visited Immigration office. They confirmed that Pakistani Visas are temperory ban. It is will take 1 to 2 Months to get it ok. This applies to all new Visas including dependents.

U made my day!! Will plan a trip after two months from now .. in sha Allah

umais009

Why they have put ban on dependent visas?

Simple answer security concerns. I know a family whos newborn (1 month baby) visa is rejected 2 times. Both parents have valid visa. What could be logic behind security issue of 1 month baby?

On the other hand, new work visas have been issued to Pakistani nationals who are security guards, drivers, workers. These are approved because they need to run their system.

monakh

Just to contribute:

I am a passport holder of a western country which is allowed visa on arrival.  I have a KSA iqama as does my Pakistani wife and baby.  My driver is Indian.

They were all able to cross the causeway into Bahrain today with no issues.  Looks like the ladies aren't affected by this ban.  It could be a discretionary thing, and my wife goes daily so we will find out tomorrow.

Keeping my fingers "crossed".

Good News
Today we go to Bahrain from Dammam me and my one college Saudi immigration not ask any thing like last week if they see Pakistani passport they ask for profession and other things
When we give passports to immigration officer they did not ask any thing and make exit from saudia
After reach Bahrain immigration they also not ask anything (before they ask profession last week)
They take passport and stamp visa normally like before
I think now allowed alla visa from KFCW

Zohaiby2k

Guys. There is no issue from Causeway, however immigration office is not processing any new visas for dependent even baby is born in Bahrain. It seems its just a temperory ban.
