concerning salary, the question is too relative. what is the scope of the job?
the minimum salary is 1.600 ₺ for unqualified employees. illegal employees are being paid less. people at managerial levels get 20-30.000, so 5.000 is not bad for a foreigner whose position can be replaced by somebody else, i mean ordinary person for a regular job. if a special person who is unique for this job, should be more than 10.000 i think.

Thank you for the answer! Well, it was a position requiring high language instruction skills. They were seaking an experienced English teacher who would be assigned several tasks and who would work even on weekends (with only one day off during the week). It sounded exaggerated to me. I mean, working during weekends means someone won't get a life after work, especially for a teacher (because teachers usually keep working at home, planning future lessons and activities for learners). All that and no weekend sounded gross; that's why I asked if that salary is worth it!

the answer varies among people. there is no certain reply. one person may accept to work saturday and even sunday for 5K, where one else may refuse it even for 10K. this is something you can decide. and remember that there are several foreign applicants who have similar skills wishing to move and have a life in turkey. so even you find the offer low, yr position will be substituted by one of yr competitors who applied to the same job.

Absolutely true! I have no doubt about that.

Yes 45 hours and half day on Saturday is normal in Turkey. But not as teacher at University so I think it was a private language school?
5k is enough to live a good life as single... Most Turkish people are working for 3-5k in Istanbul if educated
