I need instructions for construction a directed EMP device so I can selectively nuke huge stacks of speakers with precision.

Or maybe I can hack a Russian satellite with such capabilities? Any Russians here?

While that may work? Let's see where the U.S goes now with recent events. No I'm an Aussie not Russian but did research for many years within our chosen area and appears we chose well, very quiet compared to living in Manila for 12 months. At times we hear Karaoke distantly but not often, traffic? Nil. We are 600 metres off the main road,,,, arterial but still only 4 Kilometres to Bacnotan, 2 kms to a great mini grocery/convenience store that sells gas, filtered water, local alcohol, etc. Like a big Sari Sari store.
Rarely does anyone (sellers knock on the gate), (burn putrid garbage), (bother us). The biggest problem appears to be the local expat population, some 80% wanting to meet you then offering their wishes to suit their lifestyle and cajoling (or trying) you on to their beliefs, almost religious and then some.

We found peace and quiet on the beach, as it seems only to be harassed by the blow in/expats hoping we will conform to their expectations, the locals are a treasure trove of intricacies that we deal with every day and do it well. Expats telling us how we should live? The mind boggles.
We now avoid all but locals and only cordial greetings to the rich westerners because they are full of sh1t.

You know I used to fall for that nonsense before I moved here. All of you guys claiming how dangerous it was, how you couldn't leave your car on the street, etc... I just got home from a road trip up to Sagada and all the way back down to Batangas. The most dangerous thing I ran into was little kids begging.

Yesterday I walked through the squatters areas behind my subdivision to find the source of some squash that looks like snakes that are taking over my car park. The scariest thing that happened was two little kids ran up wanting to bless me.

Life is only dangerous here if you frequent the red light districts. That is a reflection of you and your lifestyle.

You read too much into people's words.

And you also changed the nature of the argument turning your point into a logical fallacy. The poster that you responded to was not talking about "DANGER." He was referring to thievery and dishonesty. You altered the argument, which is a good example of intellectual dishonesty. You thereby proved the other person's point by your own actions.

If you want to have an honest discussion try again. Otherwise, take your blood pressure meds, mate.

While I hear and see both sides, the OP's post was about "peace and quiet" not safety. Only an opinion but we found peace and quiet,,,,,, most times, lol and along with that came local security for our house shared and reciprocal and then some. A great community and yes mostly quiet and private.

Thieves, vagabonds, beggars and opportunists are rife in all walks of life no matter the country, no need to pick on the Philippines.
Happiness is where you find it and yes that certainly research and boots on the ground will secure. Fingers crossed.
