sometime russian is really hard to translate, like in this case for example

I live in Maurutius. I was born in Belgorod, to a Russian Mom and Ukrainian Dad. Then we immigrated to New Zealand where I met my future wife, who is now with me in Maurutius. Decided to stay here after visiting family for 2 months.Currently looking for a job though. I hold a degree in Food science but most likely due to my limitation in French/Creole- so far no result. Other then that-what a life trip from Russia to NZ to MU, this is my new home now :)

Anton

Privet Zaman,
Looking forward to
Meeting you soon and welcome to the Island Russian speaking community!

Hi there! One month is good enough to explore the Island and take a good rest. Let me know if you need any help or advice.

Hallo Martha and welcome to the ,
Medical Aid is well developed in Mauritius, including dental. There are a few Russian speaking detists which we know but there should be a few people in the forum who might provide more detailed information. If not just drop a message when you are in Mauritius and will share contacts.

Hi

Bhavna

Hello Bob-Russia,

Welcome on board  :)

This thread being relatively old, i suggest you create a new topic on the Mauritius forum and introduce yourself so as to get some interaction with members.

Furthermore, you can do a quick search on the Mauritius social network for Russian expatriates living in Mauritius.

All the very best,
Bhavna

My aunt and my uncle have lived in Moscow for many years.
Maybe you could get in touch with them , if needed any help.
They are very fluent in speaking the language.

Вообще, по закону сейчас любому экспату, официально устроенному на работу на Маврикии хозяин или Компания обязаны назначать з/п не меньше 60000 рупий (примерно 1500€)

Yes, I have heard of at least one. Her name is Lilia  - although she is Russian born, she has lived in Mauritius for a long time. She is a piano teacher and teaches in a Music School she has co-founded in Quatre Bornes. Here is the school's facebook page should you wish to contact her:  xxx
