perdanasiswa may have a point here...but I don't think it is the correct way to tell somebody with regards to his wrong post.

If we see something wrong on the post of old or new members, just tell them what is the correct one, or the right way to post something, but not blaming him like this.

This is a public forum. Everyone is entitled to post something which he thinks is applicable.

I don't think the post of yangpop will make this forum useless.

The existing UAE rule still works, it could not be automatically invalid. You are afraid to see the rule and its old news, even you do not want to see anybody mentioning it. If anybody does the same as you, how can you expect the rule to be abolished?

What you have to do is, to let the authority be aware of that a large number of Hep B carriers have been working in UAE for so many years, they did not infect their family members, their workmates. They are harmless to the public.And the other countries never tested Hep B if not required by the carriers.

What is useless? Keeping eyes on the forum and expecting a piece of pie falling from the sky into your mouth while doing nothing.

I have actually stop coming because there are too many repeated things here now. Get a grip on your life and emotions and dont act like a winging soul. If the rules changes good. If it doesn't then its not the end of the world.

Please read the previous posts of this forum especially the ones from April 2010 onwards. You will find a lot of information to answer your questions.

Please do not post any conflicting and distracting information other than if you have something to share about the application of the new rules which entails the cancelation of HBV tests.

The law is passed but for some reason not implemented. The implementation is the big news everybody is waiting for. So, please don't distract us with anything else.

I am new member but I have been following this blog since the start of this year and I have read it ALL from when the blog started!

Anyway I will try and keep my story short.

I am new visa entry this year my wife followed me to reside here but found she was HBV+ and was asked to leave as they would not complete her visa application. Note, she was not deported immediatly like other scare stories. She was treated respectfully by the health authority. However by the rules in place at this time they (the health authority) are obliged to send a ban request to immigration thus not allowing my wife to get her full residence visa. Consequently she stayed for the maximum of 2 months(as per entry visa rules) and has now left the UAE and returned home. OK I know, no news there! Except my own personal experience.

However the nature of my job gave me GOOD connection in the health authority, naturally I cannot divulge this person (so please dont ask for names and location etc!). Some time ago now the "person" told me that the new law was coming, and it did. So far so good! (and by the way I realise everybody knows this already!) Now the "person" told me naturally the paperwork for the new law has to be arranged to ensure all the UAE are testing in the same way, so patience is the key as it will take a little time to set everything in place with all signatures form senior officials(unfortunatly the "person" could not give me a date, though they are confident it is within weeks). The "person"told me directly that on implementation of the new law that has been passed they will open my wifes case and lift her ban so she will be able to re-apply for her visa. For me this is good news, I want to be with my wife and because of what I have been told I have decided to stay and wait it out until the law implementation.

So I conclude by saying there is definatly light at the end of the tunnel and it is very close now. I hope nobody shoots me for sharing my story. My heart goes out to everybody here in the same situation. This blog has not been "useless" to me and it is clearly going to be the mouth piece the very same day good news comes!  And thank you to everybody that has contributed so far it gives strength to know I am not alone. If I find out anything in due course I will post immediatly, please dont be negative to my "old" news I am mearly telling my story.

I was just wondering, coz most of the doctor will say hep. b is infectious, how come? most of us here we did not transmit the virus to our partner, is there any medical explanation to that?

do you know if the deportation for Hep B reason is also applicable for US, Canada, Europe citizens.

It is aplicable to each and everyone inteding to have UAE recidency.

Today I try to reach all newspaper,but not have news come next week I will search again, Now Ramadan will come on 10-Aug-2010, We hope new law will come before that

Today is 5-Aug-2010, We pray and hope that new law will come to help all of us who have to renew , be newcommers, and who were deported before from HBV.......

Hope it comes before the end August. I need to apply for a new visa. I've got an excellent job offer from a bank in DIFC, most probably I'll be called for the medical test during the 3rd week of August.

First of all r u a victim of Hepa B or not( i'm not bothered to read from the previous page on this forum about your story)
And if i'm not mistaken that you don't have any problem with the visa if you are a HEPA B since you only renew you visa in UAE.... again i repeat you only RENEW the Visa not NEW VISA which is totally different from people in this forum who's trying to get new residence visa for new comer or new residence visa for their family etc..etc....

So i pressume u really don't understand how much people in this forum rely in here for new rules n new information and all your information just like give hope but again it's still the same rules effect in 2008.
We totally understand the old rules still in effect and we clearly understand it won't be change automatically and we can't do much about it because we r not the one who sitting in Ministry of Health office or in Government office dealing with this, we just an expat in here who's trying to get better life for our family.

And do you thing people in government do not understand about infectious or not this Hepa B to other people, they have high profile doctors who's working n investigate about this desease compare to you so they are surely know what they are doing.

If they deport or banned new comer to this country bcos of Hepa B, then why they let people who's infected hepa B n reside in UAE already n want to renew their visa they can give FIT certificate, what's that make the different, can you xplain to me for that??

The goverment are very aware there are large number of xpat working in UAE with Hepa B, and they are also aware that they can hire much much more healthy people with no Hepa B to working in here very easily, they are not stupid and they don't really care for what happening in our life.
They can do whatever they want in their own country, they don't care if CHINA or SIngapore already abolish Hepa B or not, this is their own country, this is their rules, you like it or not take it or leave it, it's just as simple as that.

So if you think that you can make this government to change the rules as soon as you want, why don't you go to them and give your opinion and facts all about this disease so they will change the rules immediately and our life will away from misery.


Your pride and arrogant is not gonna make any granted in our life.

I require specific information on hepatitis C. My friend who is working in UAE got married recently. His wife is Anti-HCV is positive meaning she has hepatitis C antibodies. For her HCV RNA, Qualitative is negative meaning likely no infection, past infection but no current infection. As per UAE residence visa rule even antibodies of hepatitis c are present she cannot attain UAE residence visa and banned for life. If you can guide that he can appeal the relevant clause because of special circumstances. His wife is the only child and the mother and father have passed away some time back. So there is no immediate family member of wife that can take care of back home. All the legal documents pertaining to this special circumstance can be provided.Also I just read on Dubai health department website that I quote
"any person with visa catagory as a dependent (housewife,fathers,mothers etc.) will only have HIV test for new cases and visa renewal. Any info for such cases

â– Same tests will be done for Visa renewal.
â– Any person with Visa category as a Dependant (Housewives, Fathers, Mothers, etc.)
â– Only HIV test is required for both New cases and Visa renewal.

One of my friend today went for medical in Abu Dhabi heis new new here, They did for him only HIV and chest xray. If any one can go and reconfirm from medical center.

On my side i can only follow the latest update that is 1/08/2010 the one for 26/07/2010 is outdated let us hope so but we need to dig for more clearification more so the fate of our deported brothers and sisters we should put into consideration God bless you and good luck everybody.keep us posted.

I have carefully followed up and observed very well all your comments till the recent development of the new law that will repell the old one. the quesstion now is which UAE Government agency is responsible for the update or publication of this info in their site? This, therefore becomes an authentic reference point. else, I am concerned that having different information in several UAE Govt sites could pose a very serious conflict for interpretation. e.g,

sometimes UAE if they implement new rule, it takes them time to publish in the news especially if theres conflict.  I have done my medical test in Dubai (they said the clinic name is muhaisna) i didnt go outside UAE upon cancellation so for me its only HIV they've done, i asked the new visa holder they said they did not see any HBV test either, all we have to do is to confirm this info.
