Hello Guys
I have been watching this post for a while. I was diagnosed with Hep in july 2009, we discovered this when i was doing the medical fitness test in abu dhabi. as most of you know, as long as you are a resident with a valid residency permit and you're not from the six categories, they put your papers for an appeal from a medical committee, i have done so and alhamdulilah, they accept it.
Through the past year i've been watching this blog on daily basis and feel very compassionate with all of you guys and i really admire the support and brotherhood which fills the air.
Ok, back to the story, in june 22nd i have received an offer letter from a government department seeking to hire me. although im aware of my medical status, i agreed and i thought why not take this challenge, because at the end of the day you will only see what god has for you, and because the worst thing anyone can feel is a tiny little look with discrimination, and because i refuse this i decided that i will be a normal person, i got a better job offer and im going to go and do it.
I have done the first test on Sunday the 1st of august, (im aware that when you go pick the results they will ask you to go to the lab and do another confirmatory test) so i went straight forward to the lab and did the next test. i went to the guys from the infectious disease room (27) and luckily the guy remembered me and my case. he was kind and told me not worry.
I spoke with him about the new law, and they said that the article of the law is out, but they are still waiting for the instructions, which will be out in due course. What i have concluded from his rich speech, is that, the committee does not care about your medical status, they care about your legal situation, i.e, whether you have entered the country in a legal matter, or you have stayed in the country with an invalid residency, so its purely legal, the second important thing is your profession.
Right now im waiting for the results of the committee, i have learned they meet every tuesday, so if ur results come up after tuesday you are going to wait for a week.
I just thought to share my experience with u guys, i know its all repeated info which was previously posted on this forum, but again to add a voice to the march might as well strengthen the marchers.
Inshalla the law will free our discrimination, and we dont have to hide and feel like criminals, this is what i told the guys at preventative medicine the other day. Im not a criminal, if its right to say so, im a patient, and i refuse to be looked at as a criminal for something i didnt have a hand in, it's god's will after all. Dont discriminate or you will be discriminated at.
So raise your heads, and live normally my friends, we are as good or bad as any other normal person can be.
Regards
Moe

mickey2000,
when i went for my medical in muhaisnah i asked the new comer if they saw any requirement for hepb. he said he did not see anything only HIV and tubercolosis, dats why i put in my post before that i think they already implement the new rule. we can confirm it from your status if you get your visa. which clinic did you go?
All,
Please if you know anyone going for a medical in the next few days, could someone get some written confirmation of what is being tested straight from the clinics? it would help all of us so (for example) I can take it to my HR and confirm with them that I am fit for starting the visa process.
Regards,
I just called the preventative medicine AD, and they said HIV and HepB is being tested, not C. She said C is going to be in the future, i'm confused about this because i thought C has always been a requirement (and its more fatal than B).
Can anyone give a specific clinic they have heard rumors that HepB is not being tested??

i believe that hep.b is not infectious because the hep.b of your wife was not transmitted to you ? my hep.b is inactive, is there any chance i could transmit it ?
Its unlikely you can transmit it, unless you are active carrier... just be sure your partner has all their shots.

Greetings to All,
I would like to know about the hepatitis B I'm HBSAG positive and I had my some tests the results are about to come soon in 10 days. Doctor said to me the virus state is inactive in body . I came to know about this when I was offered a job in DUBAI I came there on employment visa . When I had my test I came to know about this , company canceled my visa and said have done my medication and sent them report and certification of it before entering according to them there is no banned on me. How do I confirm about such banned or something there is no stamped on my passport .
I had my eye scanned at Aveer emigration that lady said to me before coming here provide your medical report and ask your sponsored to remove eye scan test and there is no banned ,I did not get it . Does any have any updates regarding Hepatitis B . Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards
 Sagar
Dear Sir,
When were you going back? if didnot have any stamp in your passport it mean no ban for you.
In my undertanding , you can come for you because if immigration can issue your new visa ,it mean you didnot have ban's reccord..
Thank you,

Dear mickey2000
She got medical unfit certificate on 14/07/2010 due to HBV positive. Now she is waiting for new law but her visa is valid upto 30th August. So please give your advice.
if I am in state of you, I will check with sponsor first what he said... then you will come to know. it is better...
if he let you wait , you shoud wait... if sponsor want to send back first ( without ban ) is ok also.
