thanks for sharing your experience... i was so scared to undergo on a medical test when i get there in dubai. where did you get your residence visa and what hospital? i'm a healthy carrier and no signs and symptoms of having hbv.
rds location is abu dhabi, all hbv positive there were deported. how about in dubai?
pls leave me a message. thank u and god bless.
Dear Ms. Stress lady,
There is nothing to be worried if you are still in UAE you can apply now for your residence visa and they will not deport you even you have Hepa B virus under the new law of MOH implemented last Aug 19, 2010. If you want to have your medical test just go to Al Baraha Hospital in Dubai because the staff there a very considerate and they are giving chance to stay here in UAE even you are suffering from this kind of desease.
I hope this information will help you.
Thanks and goodluck,

I have taken certificate of fitness statement from one of a well known hepatologist from leading hospital chain in the country and send to my employer. They said that they submitted with MOH & they rejected. My company Director said they have thousands of similar certificates mounted on their table.
Guys,
Dont go by MOH/DHA website. its obsolete & misleading. If you all can remember there is nothing new in the recent update of the site. Even when the existing HepB rule was there the site was stating just the same " no hepB test for new tests unless employment fell in that 6 categories".
Unless until the end person in the lab confirms some of you that HepB is npt tested for new cases "PLS DON'T TAKE ANY MAJOR DECISIONS"
Hi Frens,
I Just want to share on expirience also, my husband has banned because of having hepa b virus. I went to immigration to inquire if there is a chance that my husbadn can come again here. The officer tol me that we have to get medical certificate in Philippines attested by DOH and DFA and attested on the same department here in Duabai. After having this approvals to those 4 departments thats only the time they will issue a visa to those who were deported. Still the approval of MOH here in Dubai is required.
Thanks,
Jerin
could you please elaborate the meaning of DOH and DFA I mean full form of these .

Dear PERDANASISA ,
Thanks for your propmt reply about ADNOC medical screening. This mean ADNOC don't follow the government policy for medical screening for employment right? If yes then will it not be a conflict between Government policy and ADNOC policy for employement medicals and will be challengeable in UAE courts.
Please can you find out with your sourecs either ADNOC will implement this new rule or not in near future. This is really very important for all oil and gas professionals.
Waiting for response from you and from all forum.
Thanks again for help you people providing on this forum.

So you want to take ADNOC to court over this! After you do so, do you still think you will have a chance of employment with ADNOC? besides what would be the basis of the case? discrimination in the employment process for example! May be if the case is raised by a UAE national, then there might be a chance but for prospective foreign employees... I don't see how you can do it.
I think everybody needs to be reasonable. If I were you I would not consider ADNOC as a potential employer and I would simply look elsewhere.
Any chance that ADNOC might change this policy... Any body that knows ADNOC would certainly reply NO. They are not even considering it. In some cases management in the Subsidiaries of ADNOC try to get an exemption for certain cases but their efforts simply fall on deaf ears and ADNOC would never approve any body with HBV or HCV.
It is very rigid organization... you should consider yourself lucky not working for them.
Hi all
I planning to work in Dubai outsource zone I guess itÂ’s free zone visa and IÂ’m a Hepa B healthy carrier so is it fine according to the new law if I donÂ’t fall in the 6 categories will I get the fit certificate or free zone got its own rules.
Plz reply back soon I would be really thankful.

Hi jerin_cutie,
Thanks for that information you share here, About getting the medical attested by DOH and DFA in phils. and have it attested again in the same department in UAE did the officer give sure thought that they will then erase the ban so that like your case you can re apply again a new visa for your husband.I only confused of this becuase they dont have a specific rules about the ban> i said this becuase i have a friend of mine that was deported last feb. 2010 becuase she supposed to get her residence visa but in her medical they found out she got hep b and she is currently doing a treatment back in phils. but she wanted to go back to UAE after i told her that there is a new rules in medical already and her case is acceptable. She got permanent ban actually so i am relying this furom to connect with anyone how we can actually do something.
thanks,

Dear All,
I am a new member of this forum and very thankful to have like this as to share experiences and to share dated news. Thank you guys for all the information. I have a case same like yours, I was sent home last July 15, 2010 because the result of my medical was unfit due to Hepatitis B. I am checking day by day this Blogs to get some details following up the new implemented rule in Dubai with regards to No Deportation to Hepatitis.
I am agree with jerine_cutie with regards to lifting the ban you have to present medical certificate attested with the particular Department but this was the legal steps before, that the immigration is saying if you want to clear the ban, but what about now? There is a new implemented rule, does it may not help us to clear the Ban without presenting medical certificate. For the inactive HB carrier like me, we can provide medical certificate but the Doctor will not state that we are clear from the disease but we are fit to work. Still from Medical Certificate Immigration will see that we are infected and for sure they will not approve that medical certificate.
It seems for every inquiry they are giving different answer. Hope they can stabilize soon the new program applying the new rule.
For those who are in UAE and giving an effort to follow up and check, thanks a lot Guys....Nways, my friend is helping to sort out I there's a news I'll keep on posting.
In 2009,i was offered a job as Project Manager for a construction Company in Dubai. When i went for my medical i was found suffering with Hepatitis B and my visa was denied and i was deported back to my home country and also i was banned for life. Now with the new rules regarding Hepatitis B,can someone help me with information like are the new rules implemented and is it possible for people who were banned and deported earlier can get visa and enter UAE again.
Please someone and everyone help me with the information.
kind regards
i have a gud offer in oman but am hep b healthy carrier i enquired in india gamca none of the centers knew abt the change of law thts strange.

Hi Sagar,
Yes from your own country you have to attest the medical certificate to those 2 departments and some of your friends or relatives will attest the certificate here in UAE and after they will go to immigration and apply your visa. I hope that tru this procedure they can help us to get visa to those who were deported.
And they will give chance to those who left the country.

Hi Gerryanded,
After visiting the immigration the officer from the banned and balcklisted office from Section 15, clearly explain it to me this procedures. And I asked him that after having those approvals from the following departments how many percentage they can gave us for the assurance that we can get the visa and remove the banned. He told me just do the procedures and after having it submitt to immigration and they will do their responsibility to issue a visa.
I'm still working on it at this moment and I hope that I can get a visa again for my husband. I will keep you posted guys for whatever results and information I can get.
I'm hoping that their rules will be fair and just.
Thanks and goodluck to all of us,
Jerin

Hi,
So you mean you have a life time banned also? It is not possible to settle this things in Dubai Immigration in al Jafliya? Kindly keep us posted to help each other because I'm still on the same process.
Thanks,
Jerin
Dear All,
I went to DNRD in Al jafiliya today to clarify how to lift the ban of those people who got deported due to hepatitis B and I wish to share with you the following :
(1)I went to the Immigration director and was advised that there have been ongoing discussions amongst Ministry of Health , Dubai Health Authority and Immigration officials since last week to set up a procedure to lift the ban of deported people due to hepatitis B in ONE GO.
(2) We do NOT need to get medical certificate in our own country and neither we need to attest it. Its just a waste of time. For as long as we have the visa cancellation form - then we are good.
I urge everyone to be patient and keep on praying so that the immigration would be able to set up the procedure to lift the ban. I know it will come very soon...
HI jerin
i am also banned for life long due to hep b.the above said information was told by a local of the typing centre of imigration office to my hus.therefore it is not sure.lets wait a little more.i hope we will get more information from others also.

New medical test rules for expatriate workers in UAE
The Ministry of Health in UAE has announced that new expatriate workers found to have Hepatitis B when undergoing medical test, will not be deported, but will be given treatment.
The resident expatriates will not be asked to undergo the Hepatitis B test, while Hepatitis C test will no longer be required, as per the new rules.
Those tested positive for Hepatitis B will have to take three doses of vaccinations and submit proof that this has been done. The first dose of vaccination will cost Dh.50, while two others are free of charge.
Those already in the UAE will not have to undergo tests for TB. However, new entrants will be tested for pulmonary TB, while those having the disease will not be granted a residence visa.
Certain category of workers including housemaids, nannies, nursery, KG supervisors, barbers, beauticians, health club workers, and food handles will have to test for Hepatitis B and syphilis. But, if tested positive for syphilis, treatment will be offered, and the person will not be deported.
Women workers, particularly maids, drivers, nannies and will be asked to undergo a pregnancy test. In case, it is found positive, it is for the sponsor to decide whether to permit her to continue working or send the worker back home.
All expats entering UAE for work, studies or residence purposes will have to undergo medical tests.
According to Executive Director of Health Policies, Dr. Mahmoud Fikri, the new rules aim to protect people and society.
The changes incorporated in the medical checkup system for expatriates will help cover any gaps in the system, particularly with growing number of foreign workers entering the country, said Dr. Hanif Hassan, Minister of Health.

Hi C86, thank you for that.
Just as general and VERY IMPORTANT information for all, if you are tested positive you MUST NOT take the disease's vaccination. In fact, the primary ingredient of a vaccin is the corresponding virus itself. A quantity enough to stimulate the body system is introduced in healthy (not healthy carrier) people for their system to immediately fight the virus and eventually develop anti-bodies for this virus. However, once you are carrying the virus, if the same dose is attributed to you it will only worsen your case, whether you are healthy carrier or actif carrier. It is therefore highly recommended to those of us who are infected not to take this vaccination. This was given to me by my doctor. Any person in doubt can double check this information through google.
Stay blessed you all.
Stella

Hi!
I am a hep b+ new visa applicant that pass medical test in Al Baraha. They DID NOT give me vaccine.
When they seen that I am Hep b+ they look at my profession in visa is "SALES" they print the certificate for me and ask me to go to room #3 for doctor's signature and stamp.
I undergo with normal procedure in medical. NO SECOND blood testing.

Aya
Dear Brothers sisters,
I've been following this forum since last year. Finally Allah almighty accepted our prayers.
I've a good job offer from a bank based in DIFC and planning to come for medical next week or the week after next week.
In order to make my travel planning I need to know how long does the total medical test + stamping of the visa on the passport process takes.
Can you please give me some information?
Thanks
