Hi all, If anyone has done medical in abudhabi recently. (new Visa not renewal) and passed. What they are checking now. Cause i want to change my job very soon. Pl. let me know. Thanks and god bless all of us.
Yes, the process is - is that you come in via a tourist visa - the company hiring you will fill-out the needed paperworks that convert you to an employment visa. After the paperworks have been started - one of the requirments is that you will have to have an x-ray and bloodtest. I think that they are looking for AIDS/HIV (virus), not sure - but I don't think that they run a complete blood test on all applicants.

Hello everyone,
I've done my medical test last Jan 24, 2012 at DAFZA Medical, and yesterday I've got my passport visa (Residence Visa) for three years. This is just to confirm the doubts of other hep b carriers like me. As long as you are not applying for jobs included in 6 categories, you will be fine.
I really thank God and to all people who are praying for me.
Cheers!
I have a brother hu has Hep B, he wants to come here in Dubai. He is not a graduate so definitely he cannot do office job or professional work. Are those working for Sales (like the one in clothing or gadget or supermarket) are getting tested for HEP B?
I know for sure offices category doesn't have HEP check as I am one of them
But I want to really halp my brother to work here.
Please advise what type of work can he apply to in order to pass
Thank you so much

That is so comforting to hear! I wish my brother will be able to come here to work. I plan to take as Visit but he is not a graduate so he cannot work in d office:(
Are those working on Sales get tested for Hep B????
Or is there anyone out here on the same situation and got pass??
Please help and advise, Thank you!
Hi Loving sister, All I know bout the 6 categories of expatriates include nannies; housemaids; nursery and kindergarten supervisors; workers in hairdressing saloons, beauty centres and health clubs; anyone working in processing or food-control authorities; and those employed in cafes and restaurants. So I guess he will be okay. I hope someone in this forum who have known anyone who is hep b carrier and is working in sales could confirm as well.

Dear All, I have passed my medical twice within a (almost) year. I am an engineer. So, please ...... don't hesitate to come to UAE even if you are a passive or active carrier as long as you don't fall in the 6 categories mentioned.
Good luck to all
Dear Dingdong,
Good to hear that you passed medical twice and you work for semi govt. company. Do you any thing about ADNOC companies which are totally govt companies, are those coompanies implemented this new law for medical screening or not?
Please if any of reader of this forum has any information about those companies medical screening and what is unfit for them, then please post the information.
Regards.

So When he comes here he has to apply in fashion/gadget/electronics sales field,,, I hope more people in this forum can confirm that but im little confident now that he has a chance:)

Just read the forum, you will get the answer. As far as I knew, the rule is the same across the UAE. If you are renewing the visa, you will be tested only for HIV if you are not among the 6 categories. If it is new visa, you will be tested for HIV and X-ray.

To the best of my knowledge, Qatar is particular about the HEP B. you will not get a visa. Please google the information for reliability. I have read this information somewhere.

Getting a job within a month is purely luck. The amount of the money is based on what you want to spend. If you live a very basic life, you need at least AED 1,500 a month. This includes sharing accommodation and travelling in pulic transport
