Family reunification, Ausbildung (Training), Siegen.

Hi everyone!

My name is Eldar. I am from Kyrgyzstan. Planning to make Ausbildung (Training) in Siegen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Going to be a reinforced concrete worker. I've already got the contract and waiting for appointment in the local German embassy.

Have some questions according to family reunification and I know maybe somewhere in this forum or another one asking the same questions. But I could not find the same situations and even in russian speaking forums.

I would like to go with my wife. I have salary for the first year 890 Euro. I'm planning to show sufficient money on her bank account and planning also rent accommodation for 1 or 2 month trough Airbnb, cause wanna avoid scam with rent etc. In my local embassy they told me that this case gonna be first time for them, and they also don't know some pitfalls.  I've read that it's "impossible", but theoretically with sufficient money on account and right motivation letter is achievable.

My question is: Someone who went through the same process could you give me some tips? I will also be grateful for any help and  advice.

Regards

beppi

You are right, there have not been many similar cases on this or other forums.
Therefore please report back about the process and outcome afterwards!

For a family reunion visa (FRV), you normally have to show sufficient income (in Germany), which you don't have. But I also know a (non-EU) family who got a FRV for the husband and kid, although the wife only got a one-person scholarship - it was substantially higher than the "salary" you quoted above, which is very little even for a single person.

Thanks for reply. I’ll definitely write the feedback after I’ll be done with that. The point is, I know that is kind a scholarship, but I’ll show also bank account with sufficient money for my wife.

The thing is that on a work visa with sufficient income one can do a family reunion visa. The same if one comes on a study visa for university and they can put enough money in a blocked account. But as far as I know, one on an Ausbildung CANNOT bring family. The status is not exactly the same. This is a perk for university students but not extended to such training programs or say attending language schools. I think the rational is that one of course is not making lots of money and it is only a temporary thing; not necessarily intended for long term immigration.

This subject came up on this site again not long and I didn’t find a link to a source to verify it. Maybe rules have changed since I got this information, so one should look themselves to double check. Best is to simply ask the people offering the training program; they should know for sure. So I don’t want to discourage anyone if I am wrong on this but don’t assume it’s possible, get it verified. And if one would apply for a family reunion visa you have to go through the German embassy or consulate anyway and they will tell you.

Thank you for your reply!

Did you come by family reunification? Are you sure about only 50€? As I know I must cover 939€ living cost per day for my spouse

It is a similar case to students who intend to travel with their spouses in terms of declaration of financial support. Get your fixed bank balance of around €50 per day after accommodation for your daily use. If they trust your financial status, they will allow you. Remember in this case don't show that you are desperate for you spouse to come and work here.
I was in an almost similar situation when I first came to Germany

I don't know the posters exact situation but this post is contrary to all of the information I have. The German rules that university students can bring spouses if they have enough money is based in a EU agreement. But other kinds of training or language courses do NOT normally allow this - it's not just about money. One has to be careful not to conflate the rules and benefits of a study visa with other types of educational/training ones because while similar there can be some significant differences.  And a spouse on a family reunion visa with a student is actually allowed to work; no problem revealing the intent to do so.

Maybe someone during a training program can have a spouse come for a limited time on a tourist visa. This would exclude working. And if one does succeed in getting a family reunion visa for any kind of educational purpose, rather than one partner having a work visa, each partner will need 10,332 Euros on an annual basis in a blocked bank account to cover living expenses. And this amount gets adjusted upwards every few years.

Could you send a link on a law where is written that if u have a training u can’t bring your spouse, please?

Are you sure???
That would be €28000 per month, or €338000 per year - enough to buy a small house!!!

939€ per month. I did mistake. 939 * 12 = 11256€/year
