Let me tell you my story,
2 days back I went to al nahda medical fitness, I was told I'll get the report withing 48 hours.
the person who took the blood sample wasn't professional at all, he couldn't find my vein, he tried one spot got little blood, put it in bottle and tried another spot got little bit more blood and he removed the plastic cap of the bottle and put the blood in bottle withot needle.
I knew something is messy...
after 2 days I calledal nahda medical center and asked for the result they told me to go to al liwait hospital (previously knows as al baraha)
I went there and they took 3 bottles of blood se and told me to wait maximum 4 days if didn't get the result by that time then I should come back there.
I will update you in 4 days but I am damn sure from myself. only thing is waste of my time....
I have heard blood samples are in batch of 30/50
if one positive then all others must give sample again individually.
Correct. Let me highlight some of the reasons why you are called to re-test:
1) Confirmatory test as you are positive for something
2) Contaminated blood sample due to improper handling or storage
3) Lost or unlabeled or inadequate samples
4) Positive cases in a batch (re-test to rule out cross contamination)
@XTang you are absolutely right.
I asked the reason to the person who collected sample in al baraha hospital, she said machine couldn't read your are neither positive nor negative.
anyhow I believe the cannot share the exact reason they are just trying to make people calm and wait to get the result.
lets see....
Good luck, hopefully it is nothing.
To give you an example, I was once called for a re-test. The thing is, I was 1000% sure that I didn't have anything as a few days before the official medical, I had an executive physical in the UAE via our company as a normal routine. Everything in it i.e. HIV, Hep B, Hep C etc.....was negative. I went for the re-test and got FIT. So this shows that they called me back not because I had something but because of, either, a mistake at their end or someone else in the batch being positive.
update:
after 9 days from taking second blood sample certificate came and I am fit.
no need to worry and panick if you know yourself.
I was 1001% damn sure that I am fit so I had no worries.
Just an update.
I got my results and it turned out FIT.
All the worries were unnecessary, as long as you know yourself, you're good.
Have a good life y'all!
Good afternoon. I also received a letter for retesting at Al Muhaisnah Medical Fitness Center, Block 7. I arrived and they took only blood from me. Sputum and skin were not tested. What does this mean? I'm worried because everyone else was tested for sputum and skin.

Hi! Is this forum still active?
Do we have an update with TB scars for 2023. I was never sick with TB in the past but I was infected by covid few years back.
I came to Dubai as visit visa and fortunately, got a job in Freezone silicon Oasis. I did my medical test, but was asked to go back for follow-up in Muhaisnah, Block 7. I asked the doctor what could have been the issue, she said, there are some changes in my lungs and we need to do more test. She asked me if I had TB, Pneumonia, or Covid from the past, and I said yes. They did my PPD(skin test), Blood Test and Sputum test and asked me to wait for 3-4 days for the results. The results will just emailed to me or the pro.
I did some research on the how to read ppd test (15mm more is positive) and mine was 15 mm. I'm still waiting for the result for the other tests, my question are:
If PPD test is positive and my sputum and blood are negative, Am I still get to be deported?
If I cancel the employment and change it to visit visa so I can stay in UAE, would that be fine?
Can i request to do 2nd opinion for my medical?
If i will be deported, Can I no longer go back to UAE even for visit visa?
Thank you hoping to hear some answers.

@Cheryl
Hi good afternoon,
I would like to ask, in my 4x renew of my visa under nanny or servant visa i always repeat my blood test and after it state fit to work. But when i ask the nurse that get my 2nd time blood test why i always repeat my blood test they said it all ok nothing to worry. They also say cos the result not clear but everytime i renew my visa is like that. Do i need to worry?
I have answered this in other threads - use search. In any case, there is nothing to worry about if you get a FIT at the end of the day.
@XTang @XTang I am due for my visa renewal and I will not renew my visa as I tested hiv positive wen I checked it form a private lab here in Dubai.
So if I proceed with visa renewal process, dha will find out.
Would the private lab report to dha or immigration and will I get a permanent ban on my name?
They will eventually report it and you will be called for a re-test by DHA. Just leave before that.  Without a confirmatory re-test, there is no ban.
How many days it takes for results to be out ????
Have been in DXB for 15yrs unfortunately first time being asked for a follow up. Hopefully it will all go well but just the whole waiting of it is increasing the anxiety.
plz pray that all goes well.
@Saahilk80Â Let me share my story too. It is relevant and will be helpful for community, This is only for informational purpose and details related to my experience. It doesn't imply that same process will be followed every time, as each case is unique.
I am in Dubai since 2008 and this was my 6th Visa Renewal. I appeared for Medical at 22nd Feb at AXS Medical Center as my visa is sponsored by Free Zone. My expectation was that everything will go smooth as it goes everytime since 2008.
But there was no reply after 4-5 days too, which started a whole new level of experience.
I started followup AXS and they said they don't have any further details, no internal notes.. nothing.. So, they created a CONNECT case to check with backoffice team. At least that's what they said to me. and told me that it will take 48 hours to get this connect case resolved.
At 7th of March, I got an email + call mentioning that I failed my medical and need to visit Muhaisnah Block 7 for another blood test. That's the point where stress/anxiety triggered. Anyway, I went for another blood test at 8th March and tried to asked them details that what is the issue. and what is this blood test for? I asked from multiple persons, and everyone replied that nothing to worry. It is a normal process and will be OK in 2-3 days. So, honestly, they will not share any thing with you.
Due to this overthinking, my BP shooted around 160/105 for straight 2 days. sleepless nights. I went to doctor for my BP issue, and he prescribed BP medicine for me to start immediately. I was not on any BP medicine previously.
So, all this time was very difficult till 13th March. I got email at 13th March around 10:00 AM that Medical is passed. I called DHA again and tried to ask that as now it is clear, please share that what was the issue which they were confirming. But they shared absolutely nothing.
Honestly, this waiting time is hard, but we don't have any other option available too. We must keep our nerves strong. My story will provide some calmness that everything will be OK. Although, I understand that it is easier said than done.
Many Thanks.
@hassantarique thanks for the detailed note its just that the immediate trigger in ones mind after hearing such a thing is crazy - i am sure you relate to it closely. Anyways i hope your BP thing is sorted now and wish you the best of luck.
@hassantarique sorry one question. This email was from AXS i guess or DHA directly. Just wanna estimate what the general timeline for this process is as I was told 3 days from yesterday
@Nabeela Rasheeed hi Nabeela. Happy to hear that all went for you. How many days did it take for you to get back the reply?
Just an update here. All went well with the retest results.
visa process completed as of today 🤲ðŸ»
@Saahilk80 hey how much time it took for you to get follow up results?
@Ssing within 48hrs from the second sample. But can be 72hrs at time. Mind you i only had to redo blood test. For XRay and other retest it can take upto a week also sometimes.
I'm reading these posts while in block 9. Waiting. Worried AF.
