Filipinos need permit to get OU T of the Philippines!  But I believe not or less hard to Asian7 countries (E g VietNam, Malaysia, Indonesia. I believe Thailand too.)

I have no idea about situation to get IN to these countries now because of covid,
but perhaps worth checking.

But LOCK UP.  There is a AntiTraficking law which forbid some not expected things too, which can become jail.    I dont know if it was true, but if so an Australian/New Zealamder living in Phils got in trouble for being kind and assisted a Filipina to get work in his home coountry.
(Basicly the law is a GOOD idea to protect Filipinos from being abused abroad, but it can hit kind asisting people too.)

How old is she? If she's fairly young, even in her 20's or 30's, and tries to leave, she will be stopped at the airport. It is for their own protection as many fall prey to trafficking. The first time I traveled overseas (to Singapore and Thailand) with my GF, who was already in her early 30's, we were both interrogated and had to show proof of our relationship, pictures, etc. They take this really seriously.

Other than that I have no idea where to meet. Looks like Korea might be possible. 14 day quarantine  on arrival though. Really best to wait, and just have to ask.. you have met her in person before, right? Right??

There are online marriage services that are legitimate most if not all based in the United States. My Filipina wife and I used such a service after researching locations where we could meet. Thailand is an option if you have lots of money for quarantine and then requiring you both to visit your respective embassies or consulates to complete paperwork. Good luck and my advice is go virtual for about $1,000.

Well, I don’t see any reason not to wait until that COVID situation is getting some better so you can travel, if she is really true she will wait for you, or is it a bargirl from Angeles city (than u might have a problem)? I’m pretty sure in 6 months from now u will be able to travel there…
2nd, is it a wise move to marry there, they don’t accept divorce (if ever), except when u live abroad and u are the one filing for divorce, in that case phils have an exception, its called “recognition of foreign law”, means the phils accept the law in whatever country abroad as long as it’s the citizen from that country files the divorce. However, u will stay married in phils but the divorce papers from ur country make it easier to have an official divorce in phils

Mexico has ALWAYS been open to all travelers, even as this covid thing started a year ago. They never closed their borders like everyone else did. Good luck! 😊

Well. They stoped at the border and locked in 2-3 days before they send her back to Europe a woman from France,  who went to Mexico to meet her American boyfriend there.  They never got told why.

Does anyone have an update on this question?

The COVID situation is constantly changing and you should check nearby Asian countries like Thailand and Indonesia.  Any Filipino leaving the Philippines to meet a fiancé will need to obtain a CFO and an affidavit of support and guarantee from the foreign partner notarized at a Philippines Embassy or notarized anywhere with an Apostille. The CFO official in the Philippines will interview the Filipino partner to verify the relationship.  Most of the Embassy’s are operating on emergency basis and appointments can be difficult to obtain.  I know the Philippines Embassy in Vancouver BC is operating normally when I was there in September with appointments available next day and the Philippines embassy in Thailand was a month out on appointment times.  I’m picking up my Visa today in Thailand after 5 weeks from being married to my Filipina online at Utah County dot gov and staying in Thailand alone for a month because the immigration officer at the airport wouldn’t let my wife leave the Philippines without a CFO and affidavit of support and guarantee.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune johncroy, that's no way to spend a honeymoon when you have a new Filipina bride. It is in fact usually the case that Filipinas who are younger and have never left the Philippines will be stopped. This is of course to stop trafficking, but yours is not the first instance where we heard someone was unable to meet their Filipina under legitimate circumstances.

We usually recommend the male partner accompany their partner/GF out of the Philippines. My GF and I encountered this the first time we traveled to Thailand. She was stopped and we were both questioned, asked for pics etc, despite her being 35 already at the time. Of course it was not a problem since I had been living there and we had lots of pics of our adventures together, and after the first time there are usually no issues.

You must be in Phuket?
