It takes time for medical reasons. I have explained the process in one of the threads so search.Â
@Hassystuff Were you able to get a work permit in the forst year or in the next 2 years? Also, now that you have a Fit on your result, can you apply for work visa (Job will be that of a consultant)
please tell me if we can do anything I had done my medical on 16/09/2024 then re-medical on 19/09/2024 still it's showing followup in process.
They had taken only blood and split and I don't have any previous medical records.
I'm in tense. Because my visa will expire on 10/10/2024.
Please if anyone can tell how much time it takes will appreciate.
@XTang
Hi i also got my medical fit- follow up and i didnt receive any message that i need to go back for medical after 6 months. What will happen if i didnt come after 6 months for my follow up medical?
@XTang
Is it posible to come back at the medical center even its pass 6 months already?
Instead of wasting time asking every minute detail, do what they asked you to do in the first place i.e. follow up. Just go there and talk to them. Don't waste more time.
Hi XTang ….. I am processing my mother visa as well and they said she had a scar on her lungs. she gave one sputum test and blood test at Muhaisnah 4 on Nov 06, 2024 and and it has been 12 days we haven’t heard anything until now it still says follow up under process …… how long does it usually take to get the results of a single sputum test ?
@Hassystuff
Hi which medical center did you go for visa renewal after the 1 year follow-up?
Hi @Hassystuff where did you take your visa renewal medical test after the one year given? Which medical center? Thank you.
Hi, maybe someone can answer me. Do i need to wait the result for my 2nd follow up (1 year) before i can renew my visa?
Hi
I brought my wife to Dubai on a family visa and she had to go through the followup medical at Al Muhaisinah. After 40 days we received the result "Fit-Follow Up". But our Visa agent told me that the Visa will be stamped only for 1 year and it is showing "Under Treatement". I didnt receive any updates about the undergoing treatment or anything like that. She had a scar in her lungs but that was due to severe Covid. My question is that, will there be any issue in getting a work permit under this family visa because of this issue?
Thanks in advance

@nat36
my wife's follow up process completed on October 20th and we received the result yesterday (December 3rd. It can take upto 40 days. Also no use in going there and asking them the status, also they won't reply even if you try calling them. You need to wait as they have alot of follow-up cases to handle.
Finally after almost 4 weeks of waiting my mother’s medical result came “ fit †. Thank God all that waiting is over. For anyone who is going through this process on Nov 05, 2024 we went for a medical check up and the same day we receive a text from dubaihealth to visit Al Muhaisnah medical fitness center Block 7. On Nov 06, 2024 we visited block 7 and doctor told us there is a scar on lungs and asked if she had any Covid or TB history and told us to go to block 10 to give sputum and blood sample and told us the results will be ready in three weeks. For the past 4 weeks we were constantly checking and it showed “follow up on process†on the app and on Dec 04, 2024 it finally changed to “Result Issued.â€
@XTang
Thanks XTang for sharing what you know and answering questions that is really helpful for anyone who is going through this process.

I want to know if there is scan in lungs they call for sputum.. after giving sputum they only check TB bacteria or if any other bacteria is in sputum aslo consider as TB...
You are a non-medical person asking questions which cannot be answered or explained to you without using medical language which you will not understand. So to keep it simple, the sputum test is a follow up confirmatory test for active TB.
That is surprising considering the question that you asked.
As I said, they will do a sputum test to check for TB. This is a culture test where the sputum is added to a substance that promotes the growth of bacteria and then it is monitored. If TB bacteria grow then the test is considered positive. The test can also show if a lung infection is caused by another type of bacteria but since they are not focusing on treatment, only confirmation for TB so that is not considered unless it is another infectious disease that can make you UNFIT. It can take anywhere from 1 week to 8 weeks to conclude the culture test.
So as I said earlier, it is only TB that they are concerned about. But a negative test doesn't mean that you will get the visa. A negative test only rules out current active TB and not past TB. The reason this test is done to begin with is that they noticed something abnormal in primary screening (X-ray) and they want to rule out active TB.  That means that despite a negative sputum test, if they diagnose your lung scars as evidence of past TB, for a new visa, you will still be marked as UNFIT.
@XTang
i am having pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria in my sputum. i am a lung patient. my doctor do sputum tests in every 4 to 6 months and the recent test was done in september it's negative for TB but shows the great of pseudomonas aeruginosa.
