For anyone interested in renewing their residency these are the new fees as of today 3/11/2024 Residency 21000 pesos Cedula 10000 pesos if your residency has expired its an additional 1700 pesos for every month it's expired up until 12 months after 12 months you must start the entire process from square one in your home country obtaining a visa, buying insurance,obtaining an FBI background check (for US citizens) and if your successful with that then when you arrive in DR you must take a medical exam and be subject to another background check by INTERPOL the new fees are absolutely crazy for me personally my fees came to 42900 pesos

@JRP55 they DGM starting March 1 don't require the guarantee insurance per thier new info on the DGM website.. my friend just applied and they told him no longer required. BtW the link the DGM has to purchase the insurance was taken down..
