HELP! Where to find A induction compatible wokpan?

Donysisi

I already bought Two Pans, and both of them do not work on my induction cooker! One even says: Perfect conductivity. Which does not at all!

Anyone has experience with induction cooker? Know where to buy the induction compatible wokpan?
It must be iron, or stainless, because other metals wouldn't work.

I already spend 400 L.E. and I don't want to waste more money! So if you know anything about this, please help me out!

Maybe you can find it in Zahran? Syria street. Probably you can use Tefal pans for induction, but check the information with it.

Apparently there is a test you can do which will show you which pans will work on an Induction hob - if a magnet sticks to the bottom of a pan it should work on this type of hob - so all you need to do now is find a small magnet and go shopping ;)

Hi Donysisi,
As induction cooker are not that widely used in Egypt, so most of the famous brand names/ good quality will not be easly found in markets. So the best suggestion for you is what Geely posted below.

These Tefal pans are very similar to the most of the famous brands. Actually, I googled the pictures/short-notes of some brands which can be found online and compared with the pictures/short-notes of the Tefal pans which you can find in Egypt they seem quite similar.

1- These links will show you some examples of what you can find online

2- Follow this link and you will get all the information about non-stick Tefal pans sold in Egypt and where to buy them.

Compare between 1 & 2 and you will find that non-stick Tefal pans will work fine for you.

I hope this information will be of some help for you.
Good luck.
MO.

but for an induction cooker to work properly - the pan really requires to be a flat bottomed pan.

And induction hobs are not really suited to wok cooking

Donysisi

Morning people! Thanks for the Replies. I suddenly realize induction cooker is not a common thing in many countries. And it's probably hard to find an induction store outside china. I took my pan and pot out from luggage at last minute while I took fly to here. What I was thinking about, So stupid!

One I bought is Tefal wokpan, 28. It says: 1. Intensy non-stick, long term non-stick; 2. Diffusal Base, perfect conductivity (I thought I means can be induct) 3. Thermo-spot thechnology, heat indicator; 4. Non-stick exterior.
By the way, any one need a wokpan? I bought it from carrefour (thanks you guys help me find it) 2 days ago, 180 L.E, I think.

Yes, I always thought that too, until I used curve iron bottomed Chinese wok on induction cooker, and find out it does working well.
But, you are right, it's better to use flat one. The one I'm talked about it's actually a wokpan, a wok with flat bottom, haha. French people really use their mind.
