Libyana USB internet gadget - a question

Hello all,

I've got one of those Libyana USB gadgets for mobile internet access on my laptop.

I'm off to Malta for a wee break and noticed that vodaphone there sell sims with web access at 250Mb for a couple of euros.

My question is, are these USB gadgets locked to Libyana or would the vodaphone sim work ?

any ideas on this or any other experience re mobile internet on Malta would be appreciated.
