I am posting on behalf of my brother and would be grateful for any advice or help!

My brother moved to China in 2011 and married his Chinese wife. He now holds both a UK and Chinese passport. They have 2 children-10 years and 2 months old.

In the last 6 months his wife has become ill with severe depression that has now worsened to psychosis and she is extremely suicidal and a danger to herself and others. They have seeked medical help numerous times and she is currently on medication but unfortunately her health is not improving.

My family are currently taking it in turns to visit them in Beijing to help look after the children as it is not safe for them to be left alone with their mother, but this is not sustainable long term. His wife has no family to help support them.

Does anybody have any advice on the process please for them all to return to the UK? From my research I think they can apply for a family visa, but it becomes very confusing when it comes to the childrens nationality. His wife wants their children to live in the UK but I do not know if she would agree to come as well. If this was the case, what are my brothers parental rights to return to the Uk with his children?

Apologies for the long post and I do not know if this is the appropriate place but any advice or insight would be gratefully received.
