Hi all, I am seeking recommendations for movers to facilitate my move back to Singapore in late Jan 2021. Open to shipping as well.

So far the movers I found quite me $600-$1000 for moving 5 boxes of belongings. Too expensive.

What did you finally do?

For that move I might have used the train system. Load the boxes as cargo and even take the ride on the train too. There are also busses, any of them take light cargo.聽 At Singapore after the bus or train, then switch to a local lorry for the last mile. ANY mover will charge a lot. Its two men, plus the lorry, plus tolls and petrol, and time. 1K isnt a lot for that distance and time. But on a bus or train, maybe its RM200-250.
