Unlimited work permit (after 4 years)

Nov Rain87

Hello,

To apply for unlimited work permit in Flanders after 4 years residing in Belgium, is it necessary to have worked continuously (uninterrupted) during this period?

Thank you for your time,

Hi,

Check this... You need to be working for at least 4 years in the last 5 year term... so it does not necessarily say continuous.

Hello everyone,

I am a non-EU citizen from a country with a labor agreement with Belgium who has worked in Belgium for the past 4.2 years under a Single permit type A card. In Flanders.

Came to my attention recently that once having 4 years of continuous work in Belgium, I can apply for an unlimited working permit that will allow me to change employers without requesting a new single permit again. Does anyone here have more information on this and what would be the procedure to apply if this is true?

@Jalaniz

Yes thats true.

The procedure is quite simple. You will just apply for an unlimited single permit.

Once your application accepted by Economic Migration Service your application will be forwarded to IBZ.

Then either positive or negative result will be given after 3-4 months.

Necessary documents :

  1. Identity proof
  2. Pay slips (Individual rekeningen which contains 4 quarter of per year)
  3. Employment contract
  4. Card(s) and Permits
  5. Health insurance

Aplication link is : workinginbelgium.be

Good luck

Thank you for your answer to my comment. Question, when you refer to Payslips per quarter. Do you mean to present all the payslips that cover the 4 full years in Belgium?

maharaji1984

@Jalaniz Yes they request all 4 years . But pay attention Individual Rekeningen not pay slips. Will ask from HR or secreteriat.
