Revolut online should work well with passport and housing renting contract. Then you choose you bank card service (15euro monthly for a physical card). Bgn or euros or any other currency to could be swapped from the app with low fees

From what I've read, I think MyFin may only work for those who already have EU residency.

Hi, I agree with Janemulberry, easy to open a count to DSK bank in Varna, so I did myself when arriving there regardless having any renting contract. However I was bearing EU passport. May be this is a prerequisite as a foreigner in Bulgaria.
