Can you recommend a firm for my IRA?

Jeff Bowyer

I’m an American with permanent residence in the Czech Republic since 1991.

I have an IRA (Individual Retirement Account) at Tradeking in the U.S. since February-March 2008.

Today, Tradeking told me that I “currently reside in a ‘restricted country’ of our clearing firm” and that I must “transfer the account to another firm or withdrawal the entire amount”.

Last year, I tried to find another firm where I could transfer my IRA.  For whatever reason, nobody wants to work with an American who has a Czech address.

If you are an American who lives in the Czech Republic, would you please recommend for me a firm that would comfortable with my Czech address?

Thanks for your assistance.
