insurance in the UK

hello,
I will live and work in the UK for 8months, my french insurance refuses to cover me in the UK, they tell me to find a insurance in the UK.
Can someone help me? I need an insurance for me and my dwelling...

Insurance for dwelling...I recommend doing a little shopping around as rates are always changing.聽 Using a cost comparison website is a great place to start.
