Hi All,

I am Maqsood from Pakistan and planing to come to Finland for masters degree in Computer Science. i just read few blogs about foreigners in Finland and found very strange comments i.e. foreigners are not really accepted/welcomed in Finland especially when it comes to job. Moreover, can i find work in order to cover my living expense in Finland? Also it will be nice of you if you can tell me what is the job scope for foreigner in particular software development field.

Maqsoodgul, perusing the expat-blog, I notice expats everywhere suffer from loneliness. Obviously, nobody can guarantee that you find work here or that people like you. That is also up to you.

Finland is not just one place. You did not mention where in Finland you would be staying. Generally, in the software business here, it is not necessary to speak Finnish, good English is enough. On the other hand, what with Nokia laying off people, there are plenty of software engineers on the job market right now.
