I have been told to download the form to stop paying Medicare premiums at the Medicare site once my visa health policy begins. I will do this because I do not intend to ever return to the US . This will save me the outrageous health care fees which are crippling. However, if you cancel and then decide to return to the US, they will charge you hefty penalties to resume, so be sure that you are staying in France.

If you think you are going to return to the US, you will want to weigh your options.  If you stop part B, and restart it later without a qualifying health plan, then you will pay a 10% penalty per year that you had part B stopped.  This penalty is permanent.  If you never plan to return to the US, then you should probably just drop part B.

For myself, i'll wait a year or two before canceling my Medicare.

But I don't see us coming back. I  believe that the orange scumbag is out to do irreparable damage to our democratic republic. He is out for manbaby retribution blood and now Elon has access to the US payroll computers.

I'm a former ( but lifelong in habit) Russia and East Europe specialist who worked for DOD and wrote books on Russian politics, propaganda and misinformation ( under another name). Trump is handled by Putin, the Russian military police did interfere in the 2016 election, Putin and trumpskiy have kept in close touch and Elon Musk is a big buddy of Putin. The aim is to weaken the US as fast as possible, destroy all Western Alliances, and we  can count on The team of foxes Trump has chosen to clear out every henhouse in our government. A minority of extreme Christian radicals to which Hegset belongs want to remove the vote from women and Tulsi Gabbard will carry out Putins wishes through the head Intel job. We won't see a reversal in our lifetime. Musk has access to Treasury Dept payroll and ICE is harassing Native Americans who were here before any of trumps recent emigres including his family.
