The ferry from Sicily to Malta

Hello, we booked a ticket on the ferry from Sicily to Malta the 3rd of September and it cost 618 euros for one car and five people! Is this really the price for the 2,5 hours trip on ferry or have we been robbed?

Yes, that sounds right. They have fixed tarrifs on their website and you will see that they hike their prices right up for the Summer season. I'm not sure if it's just because they have a monopoly that they charge so much, or because it genuinely requires those prices to make it economical.
