Tennis and Cycling

David Phillips

Hi,

I am coming to work in Belgrade to work in three weeks. Can anyone advise if there is tennis/squash club for club tennis/squash?

Also, I would like to buy a bicycle for getting about. Does anyone know a good cycle shop.

Also, I like hill trekking, is there a walking/rambling club in Serbia?

Thank you and Regards

David

Hello!

Welcome to Belgrade in advance. :)

There are a plethora of sports clubs here.  Almost on every corner it seems.  Which is the best, that part I'm not sure about.  Part of it will depend on what part of town you'll be in and what part of time you want your club in.

As for a cycle shop - I don't know one off the top of me head.  I rarely saw cyclers about town during the summer except in the parks.  They are trying/supposed to be implementing this rent-a-bike system here.  They were supposed to start in November, but they got smart and realized no one is on a bike during the winter so they've pushed it back.  There is an article on livinginbelgrade.com that gave basic details about the rent-a-bike system.

How long will you be in Belgrade?

If you want, when you get here maybe we can meet up for a coffee and I can show you around if need be.

Good luck!

Kiki
