is a salary of 18k all inclusive good for a first time job in qatar?

just got a job offer and would like to know if a gross salary of 18k is bad/good/great to stay in comfort/luxury in a place like qatar? is doha a good place to settle down, for kids and all..good schools etc ..plz help

salery is nice also and qatar is one of the best place to live and enjoy in the world...

Great start. Is the company paying for the rent and school fee for kids also? I am sure you must be better judge of your own cash outlays but if its covering one of the 2 things, then you should be over the moon.
