For all Expats to KSA - Causations

mustafasd1

In Saudi Arabia it is not that safe as most of you may think.
You are not safe at all as long you are not securing yourself and being aware of some frequently crimes in Saudi Arabia including the following:
Bandits and fake Police: this is the most important risk if you are walking in the street especially if you are not familiar with the rules and regulations in this country. Always be careful and do not deal with all Saudi Guys who are pretending that they are from police, most of thief and looting crimes coming from this area.
Be aware, the fake police might show you his ID card, but it will remain fake and you can avoid this by knowing two main issues:
-    Real Police who is authorized to ask people who are walking in the street always wearing a police uniform and driving the known car.
-    Real Police will never ask you to give him your pocket wallet for any reason.
By the above you will know who you dealing with, a police man or a bandit? You may know that you are dealing with a bandit, so, what is the next step? Simply: seek the help by calling real police 999 if possible; otherwise, seek the help from people around.
I know people that couldnt be able to protect themselves, although they know they are dealing with bandits, unfortunately, bandits always progressing one step more than victims, this is the real story you should be aware about.

Crime is very rare in most parts of all cities in KSA.  And even the fake police trick is also very rare, but yes, it is always good to know.

By the way, you meant causations.

Actually this not rare, it is a serious phenomenon especially in Riyadh, mostly it happening in the morning, after noon and night hours of the day. It is never happened to me, but I know more than 10 persons experienced this.
By this I am intending to give people caution and make them aware of this serious issue they might face one day that is it.
Yes, it can happen anywhere in the world, but the difference is that Saudi Arabia is famous of high safety, and most people living here may think so, in fact, it is not correct.
Also, there are many negative phenomenons in Saudi Arabia such as house robbers, car thieves, blackmailers.etc; I will talk about all of them in separate posts.

Reporting an incident IS NOT giving a country a bad name, but rather sharing information.

While I can appreciate your national pride, I think you're being a bit overly sensitive on this issue.

Thanks for sharing with us...
