Yeah  I do have knowledge about this :)

1st it's depen on the invitation you get, if they are ..hmmm how to say ..They are conservative (religious) or more open to everything

I mentione this becouse it's depen on what to wear and who you will be in the weeding, some of the party are mixed some only women's

Second your clothes can be stylish but not over becouse they were normel and simple comparing to our arab wedding ,you can keep it with elegant look .

Third if your really close to the bride , you can give money starting from 50tl and up ;), or GOLDEN currency to the bride or her husband

I hope I give you an advice and enjoy it ðŸ‘

Hey Sara;

It depends Where are your friends from. I mean all regions have their own tradition.

For example that was a Black Sea region wedding and you can see 2 guys trying (just acting) to stab eachother with knives.  :) Nope they're just dancing but you can be shock when you see that for example.

It's a tradition to give money to new married couples at their weddings. Because you know they're setting a new family and affording too much money for that. People trying to help them and when they do this they making it with a ceremony. Normally if a Turkish person join wedding but don't give money people would look him/her in a bad way Because everyone expecting to give even 10 Liras (3 euros) It depends to the person how close to the families or how rich he/she is. But if you don't give money they wouldn't mind it because you know they realize that you're a foreigner from abroad.

You'll have an amazing experience because Turkish weddings are unique.

Women will try to make bride cry with a song which tells about the relationship between her parents and her. After the brides crying they will take her to the dancing :) Etc. You can wear anything you want. At weddings girls would show themselves and would try to be the best styled girl in wedding ceromony.

Good Luck.
