I entered Turkey on a 3 month visa about 6 weeks ago. I have a very good Lawyer in Kusadasi. He easily got me my 2 year residence. I first had to get my Tax id card, show my passport and open up bank accounts. I opened up one for Turkish Money and one for us money. You will need several passport type photos. If you have any more questions please feel free to text me further. please let me know what city you are in. If you are in Kusadasi and want the lawyers contact info let me know. I would suggest for the small cost I paid to use a lawyer if you can, you should. Don't want to find later that you have not been accepted because it will not, from what I understand be reversed. You can check on that.

I came to Kusadasi Turkey 6 weeks ago and with the help of a great Lawyer and real-estate people entering and getting set up was easy. I would highly recommend as both were inexpensive and worth every penny spent. One wrong move can either disqualify you from entering or set you back weeks or months in the process. If you would like their contact information to talk to them just ask.

good Luck

Dennis

In my understanding, if a foreign national is in Turkey on a 90 day visa exempt visit, we must apply for the residency permit within the first 30 days, is that correct?

dncole4156

Not sure if I sent you this but better to be safe than sorry.

Which city r u in? its a very simple process...r u looking to get residency via renting an apartment?

Guest3456

I'm renting with my Turkish partner, İzmir. But government websites say it must be done in the first 30 days.
