Keeping your child warm in freezing temps is all about layering! Start with a moisture-wicking base layer (like merino wool or thermal wear), add a cozy fleece or wool middle layer for insulation, and top it off with a windproof, waterproof outer layer. Don’t forget warm socks, a snug hat, and insulated gloves. Layers like these are warm but still comfy to move in! 🧣🧤

To keep your child warm in sub-zero temperatures, dress them in layers starting with a moisture-wicking base layer like thermal underwear made of merino wool or synthetic fabrics to keep sweat away from the skin. Add a middle insulating layer such as a fleece or down jacket, sweater, or insulated vest to trap body heat. For the outer layer, choose a waterproof, windproof jacket with a hood and insulated snow pants to protect against harsh weather. Don’t forget warm accessories like a hat that covers the ears, a neck gaiter or scarf (avoiding loose scarves), insulated waterproof mittens, thermal socks, and sturdy, waterproof boots. Optional extras like hand and foot warmers can be useful in extreme cold. Make sure the layers are snug but not too tight, allowing for proper circulation, and regularly check if your child is too hot or too cold to adjust as needed.
