My dream is to live in NYC

Sherry13

Hi all,

I currently live with my family in Dubai, I work in advertising in a USA based company. As New York is the mother of all advertising cities around the world, it would be like a dream come true for me to move there to live and work. But of course i need to be thorough to take such a step.

So here are my questions, if anyone out there can help me:
1. Any idea what the salaries are for someone with 5 years work experience in Account management in Advertising?

2. What is rent like and where are the good, safe areas that i, as a single woman, can live in. and still be close to time square.

3. well Dubai is a tax free country, so i want to make sure, I heard taxation could be 25 - 28%. is this right? and you can file for tax return on an annual basis right?

4. Someone told me if i want to move there, i need to get a lawyer, why???

5. What is the average monthly spending in NYC, food, rent, shopping, going out, car (if i get one), or public transportation??

I know i'm asking alot, but it's about time for me to get to NYC and follow my dreams :)

Thanks,

Sherry
