Guest Relations Assistant
Key responsibilities:
• Give a warm welcome to guests on arrival and assist them throughout their stay
by attending to their needs and sharing useful information about the hotel and activities available.
• Offer personalised service by anticipating guest expectations and providing suitable solutions.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to guests' questions and requests to ensure their satisfaction.
• Work together with other hotel departments to attend to special guest requests.
• Provide recommendations to guests on activities, excursions and interesting places to discover in Mauritius.
• Monitor and manage guest feedback on online platforms and ensure that any issues are promptly resolved.
• Work closely with the management team to continually improve the guest experience and deliver a superior level of service.
• Participate in organising special events and activities for hotel guests.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and friendly approach to develop strong relationships with guests.
Qualifications and skills:
• Previous experience in the hospitality sector, preferably in a guest service or guest relations-oriented role.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with guests of various nationalities.
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions to solve guest issues.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Knowledge of Mauritius, including the island’s tourist attractions, restaurants and activities,
in order to provide relevant recommendations to guests.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
• Positive attitude and desire to provide superior guest service.
• Fluency in English and French; knowledge of other foreign languages would be an advantage.
• Flexibility to work hotel hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Holding S.C. / H.S.C. / Professional Certificates
Be computer literate, including amongst others, good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel
