Hey. I'd start in Ocean Village and Queensway Quay for bars and restaurants. For customer service/admin jobs the online gaming companies are best. Most of them are in World Trade Centre, Waterport Place, Europort, Leanse Place. But you can't ... Read More

Hi All, I'm coming over for the snooker in December and im getting confused by the usual hotel booking websites...can anyone give a run-down of hotels which are close by to the Victoria stadium?! The event is being held at the Tenerancy Sports ...

Tom

I've not stayed in a hotel in Gib personally. Architecture generally isn't Gib's forté. I went into a hotel opposite M&S once, can't remember the name, but it was nice inside. Read More

Gibraltar is really quite small. If you were to go to one of the hotels off Main Street, like the Bristol, then you'll be about 15 to 20 mins walking to Victoria Stadium. The Rock is quite nice and reasonably priced, but is a little further down ... Read More

Darren. I'm sorry that your experience here wasn't the best. Personally, I've enjoyed the culture of Southern Spain and Gibraltar. The people I have met here and with whom I regularly visit new towns or go for Tapas across the border in ... Read More

Relocating to Gibraltar - what is the cockroach situation there? by JAPBnowM

Hi everyone. Me, hubby and two children are considering relocating to Gibraltar from Hertfordshire, UK . We have been toying with the idea for many months and think that we would be very contented with the way of life Gib offers. We are ...

Tom

On the ape issue, I've only seen a pair of well behaved apes off the rock once in two months. And it wasn't in a busy area like the city centre. There are cockroaches, sorry. I don't see them that often though, and they tend to run away. Read More

Transport to Malaga airport by Michielvd

Hi, Does anyone have tips for cheap and reliable transport to Malaga airport or trainstation? The taxiservice I found costs 120 euro one-way and there is no direct bus? thanks!

Tom

I bought the ticket to Malaga, that was around €15, but I got off at Torremolinos as transport links were better for the airport. Read More

Tom

I use three methods, depending on times of travel etc. There's a 16:30 bus from La Linea to Torremolinos that takes about 2.5 hours, its about 15 Euros for the bus and 2 Euros for the Metro. Last week I used a car share app. called Bla Bla Car ... Read More

Tom

That's odd. Since I moved to Gib, I've changed my contact details with Natwest to a Gibraltar address and telephone number and they were fine with it. When I went to the Natwest here, they did say that they operate separately. But they ... Read More

Tom

Thanks David. I thought this sounded okay, when compared with the cost of driving my things down myself. I found an online instant quote that was much higher, as it would have been air freight. This confirmed to me that the £650 was fine. Read More
