I am considering my options and wondering what will happen to my UK pension if I am no longer UK tax resident. Is it possible to still be eligible for UK pension even though not UK tax resident and if so how much would I have to pay each ...
Thanks for the replies. I am a little confused about the company pension. If one was to work for a UK company in a foreign country, meaning, not being UK tax resident but working for a UK company in a foreign company, where the salary is being ... Read More

Does it matter to inform your employer if you move to another country by MikeGreo
Now with remote work possibilities on the rise, I just wonder, is it important to tell your employer if you move from one country to another. Are we required by law to inform the employer? If we contact the HMRC for our current country of ...
Thanks for the info Cynic. Like I said, I don't have a problem with informing HMRC or the authorities in the country I am in for tax purposes. In fact, that is the whole point of the question. I know the UK has tests such as the UK resident ... Read More

Thanks for your responses. Some responses didn't seem to get what I said. Ofcourse the HMRC is informed. But my question pertains to the employer. Someone had once told me that as long as you inform the HMRC, than HMRC will provide you with a ... Read More

I have also considered Romania. I am considering a lot of things. I am taking baby steps. This won't even happen this year. Might happen even a few years later. But at least I have something aim to. I would be willing to quit my job or find ... Read More

I don't think it is delusional. Worst case if all else fails I move permanently to Dubai and just live there working remotely. Also 6 months is hardly short-term if I go between 2 places. I have already checked those rents. Read More

Thanks for your response Beppi. I would say since I've pretty much hit rock bottom in the UK, anything is better than here. I think happiness does correlate how much one is able to travel. Travelling I always feel happiness. Misery can also ... Read More

I am thinking probably a good way might be like this: Cayman Islands (3 months) + United Arab Emirates (6 months) + Bulgaria/Malta/Cyprus/Barbados/Bermuda/Montenegro/Georgia/Spain/Italy/France/ (3 months) = 1 year Cayman Islands requires the ... Read More

I don't see why it is pointless. If there is a way to do things legally, what is the problem to find out what that is? The truth is I want to hit 2 birds with one stone. I've been working like an ant and paying taxes in London UK for too ... Read More

Thanks for the response. Like you said most countries, but which countries don't charge on world income? Also I know it is few places that have the 3 month or 6 months rule, so what I am trying to find out is, which ones they are. Also, I ... Read More

Mike. Cayman (which is my home) is not the only place in the world that doesn't have an Income Tax. I'm not familiar with the new "global citizen" rules, but I presume that by "tax resident" you are referring to Income ... Read More
Moving to Malta, what tax would I have to pay as non-dom? by MikeGreo
Hi, I've read that the taxes in Malta are very good, so I am confused when it mentions taxes go anywhere from 15% to 35%, which is not too different to other countries. I also read that a person can apply as a non-domiciled EU citizen. This ...

Do you need a work permit in an tax free country? by MikeGreo
Might be a stupid question, but does one need a work permit in a tax free country?
As I mentioned regarding the health system, there is always private options. The health system in the UK for example has become utter shambles, not even worth the tax payers money anymore. You ask to see the doctor and you wait 9 months or when you ... Read More

Thanks for the response. I don't agree with this idea of "their fair share to the hosting society, also morally dubious". I've lived in the UK and been paying taxes and, I don't know what benefits you talking about. A person ... Read More
