I have been here over a year and a half now. The last price I got for the Cuenca Golf and Tennis club was $9,000 to join, $120 a month dues. 9 hole, no golf carts. Caddies available. Not worth it to me. We are going back to the US in late September ... Read More

Michael

I agree. Riding a motorcycle here is not an easy chore. You had better have your head on a swivel. I expect them to do the dumbest thing possible, and I have never been disappointed. I do my best to ride the outskirts of town, and ride during the ... Read More

This is what I know, as I just finished the process. You can get a copy of you driving record from the US, have it translated to Spanish, have it notarized here, and get a blood test card from the Red Cross. Then take the skills test, and the ... Read More

One thing that is never mentioned is the startup costs associated with moving here. I can see where most people can live here fairly comfortably on $1500 a month. But, you are going to spend quite a bit more getting started. All of your paperwork ... Read More

Marty, I brought 3 Scottish terriers with me. Bringing pets limits you somewhat on housing. But cats are more accepted than dogs. My advice would be to come to Ecuador and spend a month getting the feel of the country and learning the do's and ... Read More

We live outside the city. Not gated, but everyone has electric fencing, or stick you in the butt spikes on top of the fences. One of the good things is that in our little place of about 40 units, everyone is watching each others place. We speak very ... Read More

I dont know how to put a pic on here. But PM me with your email and I will send you the brochure. There are tons of Shineray enduro types for sale here. For about $1172 you can get a 200cc, and for a couple hundred more, a 250. Nice looking bikes. I ... Read More
