Introduction
Originally from Manchester, spent a year in London and have been in Barcelona since August 2010. Easygoing geek with an enjoyment of the ridiculous and obscure. I want to immerse myself in the Catalan culture but would also appreciate contact with other British expats so I can at least have conversations in a language I'm good at :-)

Expat experience
Just started learning Catalan and my aim is to integrate myself into the local culture and make new friends.
The city, the people, the culture, the Mediterrainean sea :-)
The 2000 mile trip back to my friends :-(
Spent a year in London to see if I could adapt to life in a new city, but never really enjoyed it as I knew I was still in the wrong country and wrong city.
The life in a capital city.
It wasn't Barcelona :-/
Spent the first 32 years of my life in Manchester, and knew I had outgrown the city when I visited Barcelona for the first time.
It's where I was born and grew up.
