We left the UK on 4th January 2008 to start a new life in Auckland, NZ. Four days before leaving our family and friends behind to move 12,000 miles away, we discovered we were expecting our first baby. Badly insulated houses, cost of food, feeling guilty as we're soooo far from people that love us
Socialising, travelling, day-dreaming about living somewhere safer/warmer/friendlier
Architecture, history, shops, bars, friends, proximity to European cities (for holidays)
Crowded, dirty, dangerous, unfriendly, expensive, stressful
