Rent a flat or a house in San Francisco

Post new topic

Finding a place to live is a priority when settling in San Francisco. Your experience will be of a great help for the members who want to settle in San Francisco.

Therefore, we have prepared some questions for you:

Is it hard to find a flat or a house for rent in San Francisco?

How to find a home in San Francisco: classifieds, real estate portals, real estate agencies?

How much is the rental for a house, an apartment?

What are the formalities or the required documents for renting an accommodation?

Which advice would you give?

Thanks in advance for participating!

No it is very easy to find a flat or house for rent in San Fransisco.

There are too many brokers are there in the market who are providing apartments or houses on rent.

Rent is depend on size and location of the apartment or house.

Formalities are different for the person by person as well as locations.

I like to advice that find broker who takes as much less fees as he can.

Hi Charisse,

Welcome to ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ!

You may view the San Francisco classifieds > accommodation section and post an advert there as well.

I wish you good luck.

In the bay area Craigslist is where everyone will post apartments and homes for rent as well as roommate requests.

Landlords often like to have a lease. 6 months to a year is pretty average. They will need a damage deposit and first and last month's rent. They are allowed to ask for up to your monthly rent in damage deposit so on a place that is $2500 a month expect to pay $7500 that first month. They will also want references from your previous landlord and they will want a credit check. For expats this is not really possible. Some landlords will accept a printed credit check from your home country and others will just refuse to rent to you. Eventually someone will give in, especially if you have taken the time to produce some sort of credit check that looks legit.
