Permesso was denied! What could be the reason ?

My wife and I have been waiting for 6 months for approval of our Permesso application. We have just learned that it has been denied. Our Elective Residence Visa was approved. Can anyone tell me why our Permesso was denied?

Ask the immigration authorities who processed the application.聽 They should have given a reason for refusal.聽 No one here can tell you.
