There are loads of dentists in Bangkok. The easiest way is googling it. 'Dentists in Bangkok' will work.

@jtsilverman2003 it depends where you stay, to chose one near you.

If you not far from Onnut there is one called OK Dental Clinic2 in Sukhumvit soi 77/1

Phone nr.   086 355 9997  or 088 041 2303

Can call and ask if they do and the price and make appointment.

I have used them. They are very clean and the doctor is experienced and speaks English and can make english receipt in case of insurance.

I know a few good ones in Chiang Mai, but not in Bangkok. There are a lot of dentists in Thailand that are very good, but unfortunately, there are a lot of dentists in Thailand that are 'average', and there are a lot that are 'tourist traps'.  Anywhere in Thailand, I would go to one of the dental clinics attached to the Thai public hospitals - they are not a tourtist trap and are usually good.  For something as simple as a filing there are many good local dental clinics all across Thailand. For the more complicated work you have got to research a bit.

I have to ask - why root canal? Who said you need root canal treatment?? I found in Thailand the dentists will try and do 'root canal work' on people at the drop of a hat. Mostly it is not needed - a course of antibiotics and simple filing repair work or a crown does the job. Have had it happen twice to me and when I got back to Australia my dentist said not needed at all - he filled one and crowned the other - still there over 10 years later.

There are many many good ones, but there are also some not so good ones - in Thailand there is not much in the way of enforced industry standards or government oversight and control.  For all serious medical work in Thailand (including dental) the key is to research the specialist themselves - where they trained and where have practiced - I like to see overseas training and experience. Found a dentist in Chiang Mai that got her basic degree at Chiang Mai University and then did a specialist degree at Sydney University - and she knew the buildings when I asked :)  That is what you need to find - the actual person who will treat you. Most high level specialists in Thailand also work in local clinics - usually either one attached to their hospital - or they have their own clinic and work there as well - they work long hours in Thailand.

Hi,

The dentist in Australia has started the root canal treatment and would like to complete the RCT in Bangkok but willing to travel to Chiang Mai if needed. Can you please recommend the dentists who can do root canal and crown. Thanks
