@ImdadC you can use your mobile phone for 3 months while you arrive turkey

The 3 months period will restart each time you come back

So you don't need to register if you will stay shorter than 3 months

@ImdadC I've learned that a phone purchased in America does not work with Turkish sim cards... I had to buy a phone from here even if it's a temporary stay.

We had visitors from a far poorer country then the US (Kyrgyzstan), if a US phone does not work, just buy a Turkish one with a Turkisch SIM card (even expiring just buy a new one with the next visit)

Life can be simple even if more expensive than intended.

@mikealex Thanks.  I'm coming from the UK and my phone has worked on my two trips with it, which is good news.  @redcarpet has provided even better news that the clock resets every time I enter Turkey.

I took an  iPhone from USA and I registered it and still use my phone

Buy a 2 Nd hand Turkish mobile phone as soon as you arrive there together with a Turkish sim , it's the best way to have no troubles! Enjoy your new life !

@ImdadC let me advice u to buy a good second hand mobile in Turkey, as they increased this tax for foreigners up to 7 000 TRY after 3 months passed in Turkeyie! New mobile phones are double price than in Europe! It's plenty of 2nd hand shops for mobiles and it's the best way to have no troubles according to me. Enjoy your new flat in this amazing country
