Single entry tourist visas are confirmed on entry into Kenya for different lengths of time: 1 month, 30 days, 2 months, 3 months depending on - what? I've never known. You are right to pay attention and extend it if necessary.

Extending your visa is easy to do online. It will take 24 to 48 hours and there's no fee.

For information go to and click on the Extension of Visa Application. That will take you to . There you will be able to open an account and then follow instructions.

Be aware that the documents you need to download need to be a maximum of 129 kb to be accepted by the program so you may have reduce their size e.g. passport photo.

When it comes through, you do not need to get your passport stamped. Just print it and insert it in your passport.  When you leave the country that will be proof that your visa was extended and it will show up on the computer at the Passport Control desk.

That is strange. Are you sure there isn't a typo in it?

Do you have another email address you can use?

You can create one in google gmail. I've had to do that when I was opening a new account because I had to use my British passport instead of my Canadian one.

@Sarnia first I must say I have tried two different emailadresses. It doesnt help.

Now I am really stressed because I ask for help and feel its so difficult.  I have original asked for a visa from 8th of January but get it from 8th of December.  I will though stay in Kenya less than 90 days

No Bernt-Erik, I'm not part of any immigration department or law firm. I only offered what I did from personal experience.

I think your only recourse now is to go to Nyayo House (immigration) in Nairobi and explain your problem and get the extension there.

The entrance for foreign nationals is on the left the side of the building - facing it.

Ignore the line up if there is one. Go up the exit ramp.

If the guards question you say you're just going to Room 18 and look like you know exactly what you're doing.

Room 18 is in a corridor on your right once you get inside. I have found them wonderfully helpful.

As for your query Erik.

Once you enter into the country on a tourist visa you are given 90days to be around after which you have to leave the country or if you wish to extend your stay you apply for the vistiors pass extension() which is free for upto 3months.

No endorsements need for this application after approval.If you have any questions feel free to ask i will answer.

I agree, get to Nyayo House in Nairobi BEFORE your visa expires.  Under no circumstances overstay your visa, this is a serious offence and you can be arrested and sent to court.

Hi,  I don't think that EFNS Support is actually an official support service from Kenya Immigration. 

I believe that the online service should tell you.  Otherwise go to Nyayo House in Nairobi, or an immigration office closer to your location (there is one in Mombasa for example) and physically check your status.
