Admission for my daughter (waiting pool)

Post new topic

Prakash Tamboli

Hi there

We are moving to Copenhagen from India this July and came to know that all the int. schools have this waiting pool. My worry is what are chances my daughter will be able to get final admission in this year only starting from August if I apply for admission for the waiting pool. Do applying early helps.

Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome Prakash Tamboli,

Indeed could be frustrating ... please note that since you responded to a very old thread, I have created this new one on the Copenhagen forum so that members may guide you.

All the best

Her chances may depend on her grade level. Some classes may be full, others may not have reached the maximum numbers of pupils.

Do contact the schools to learn more about her chances.

She is 10 year old this July so she will fit for grade 5 wr think.

We contacted two schools; Rygaards School and International School of Hellerup. Both are full for one year at least. Did not enquired others but we are going to. Any ideas which schools has least or no waiting pools.

Thanks.

Nellie Berg

The most popular international schools are CIS, HIS and Rygaards, which may be due to their close proximity to Copenhagen and the large expat community which resides there.

I have no idea of the waiting pools, but try    It's free.

The pupils learn Danish at school from the 1st grade in the Danish state schools (folkeskoler). Some municipalities also have M-klasser (receiver-classes) for children who don't speak Danish.
