Hello everyone, I need some help. Am from Kenya and I would like to visit turkey but I have a friend to accommodate me in turkey. Which is the easiest way to get visa? Is it easy to apply from Kenya or should request her to apply for me from turkey? Anyone with experience can help.

I am assuming that the only way for you to get a tourist visa, or visit visa to Turkey is through 1. A tourism agency that will have you go on a guided tour. Or 2. You have to have a Turkish citizen sponsor you and take responsibility for you to come to Turkey.

If it is 1 or 2. Then you will have to either book with the tourism agency which then they will give you the documents and you have to go to the Turkish embassy and apply with them.

Or 2. Your Turkish friend will give you the letter of invitation and taking responsibility for you and you have to take that to the Turkish embassy and apply for it. They may also have to show finances showing that they can support you.

Without this then you won't get a Turkish tourist visa anymore if your country is on the restricted lists. And as far as I know even if someone is a temporary residence there they also can't sponsor you and invite you to come to Turkey. It has to be done by a Turkish citizen.
