Visa D3 Process

Post new topic

anhtran86

Hi everyone!

I got a job offer from Lisbon and my case was assigned to an immigration lawyer (for Visa D3)

I hope that anyone has experience with immigration lawyer can help me with my concerns:

1, How long does it take to process visa D3?

2, Will the immigration lawyer submit my application to SEF and get an appointment before we submit at the embassy for the visa? Or we will submit the application at the embassy and then embassy will forward it to SEF ?

3, Do we need to prepare another full package of documents for SEF appointment as the embassy will keep our documents?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Anhtran86, Welcome.

1. Once you submit (*) your documents, they will be properly analysed. And as there are some documents to analyse and confirm, the response of the D3 Visa application may take around 60 days.

2. The application is initiated/submitted (*) by you at the Portuguese consulate in your home country or through VFS Global, where applicable. The Portuguese immigration lawyer can only help you in Portugal, after your documents have been analysed, your visa has been approved to go to Portugal and you have already been pre-booked by them at SEF, day, time and place of attendance.

3. You have to proceed according to what is said by the embassy or the VFS Global website. Have you looked there for the answers?... the procedures may vary depending on the country of origin....

Make sure you are well informed. There are a number of requirements to fulfil. For this type of visa, you must have an employment contract or guaranteed promise of employment for at least 12 months. And it must be a highly skilled job.

Regards
