From experience use Avito or mubawab, plenty of listings. If you’re fluent in Arabic or French you should be fine, if you have a Moroccan friend it would be good to take them with you to help. If you’re not familiar with Tanger, consider renting an Airbnb for when you arrive and start your search when on the ground. When you do find something get a contract, basically some form of confirmation from the landlord, especially when you pay a deposit.

the added benefit of staying in an Airbnb is it gives you a chance to work out which area works best and also whether you like Tanger, if you haven’t been before that is.

we’ve rented in Tanger for nearly a year, finally bought a place here now. It’s a great city and we’ve lived and travelled to all the main cities, Tanger sold it for us.

january should be a quieter period too, so prices will be good. The summer months the rents are very high.
