DO NOT attend the public persecution office without a lawyer. I learnt that the hard way.

I would strongly recommend connecting Maha Jaber law firm (1753 3757).聽 The secretary's name is Muna.聽 Maha has been my lawyer for over 15 years.聽 聽Get a consultation before doing anything and she will get one of her lawyers to go with you.

@Peggy Kilindo.... please I wish to find out. How long does it take from the public prosecution for a case to be sent to court. I haven't received any notification yet and it's 3 months plus. Everyday my lawyer keeps telling me it's under investigation

It shouldn't take over 3 months if your lawyer knows what he or she is doing.聽 I dont know what your case is about.聽 But having dealt with Maha a civil case can be resolved in a month usually.聽 That has been my experience. In some cases it took less than2 weeks.

@logicalindian @nadinewhite010 i agree you should have a lawyer that knows what he or she is doing.聽 In my experience in Bahrain, many lawyers just take your money and they take forever to help you solve the matter.聽

Try and get a consultation which is free from Maha Jaber law firm.聽 I strongly recommend her firm because of my own experiences.聽 聽Trust me i had my share of lawyers that just took my money and dragged on and on.

@Peggy Kilindo wow thank you for your response.聽 My case is my visa sponsor is illegally keeping my passport and has refused to return it even when he was called in by the police.聽 However I got a lawyer (which I later found out he is an Egyptian legal consultant) and by implication he is not a lawyer within the bahrain legal system.聽 He has not been honest with me about my case and is only interested about money and asking me to sign a document to hand over 50% of whatever I will get from the court. .聽 I don't even know the status of my case or what financial penalties will be awarded.聽 My case is stuck for months but all he insist on is that I should sign a document. Awarding him 50% of what I will get from the court

@Peggy Kilindo withholding passport of individual is illegal but since I filed the case thus person in possession of my passport is still unbothered and affected.聽 I am the one spending money left and right for legal process and to top it all he insist he will not return the document and even threatened me.聽 I have all the evidence.I feel helpless even still knowing my case is at the level of public prosecution and why nothing is being done about it. I also want to file for civil case for compensation for all the time I lost. It's been 8 months,聽 I cannot work,聽 I cannot travel,聽 I cannot do anything in the country because he withheld my traveling document. This is a common practice and he told me I will do nothing to him. That k should stop disturbing him because of will not get the passport

I am so sorry to hear you are gping through this.聽 聽But yes the Egyptian lawyer is definitely dragging to take money from you.聽 You do not have to sign any document regarding paying him 50 percent.聽 And you are not obligated to do so.聽 He is merely bullying you into signing.聽 DO NOT DO IT.聽 Please contact Maha Jaber firm.聽 聽

Hi...

I was deported from Bahrain with a blacklist over the GCC region. While my appeal in the court was still pending and I later on won the case in the court. Now i am looking for to clear my blacklist not for Bahrain but for Saudi Arabia. My lawyer refered to the online application process which they are not accepting in immigration department. Does someone know a better process to clear out blacklist based on my win case.

My STC pay account was blocked when I contacted them they told me my card had an issue and they will notify me when it is resolved.

I waited to no avail. I contacted them again and they told it with the cybercrime authority that I should verify with them.

Note they didn't give any reason why it was blocked.

What's the way forward please someone help
