Employer threatening to impose huroob

Johnson Joseph2

Hello everyone,

I came to Saudi Arabia as a safety officer on 29/10/22 through a recruitment agency from India. My iqama have been expired for the past 5 months and my salary is pending for the past 2 months.

Everytime I ask for these, my employer is asking me to go to labour court if I want. I have signed a contract for 2 years back in India. Now my employer is forcing me to sign a contract on qiwa with a basic salary of 400 riyals. I have rejected the contract because all the details were wrong.

I have submitted my resignation but he is not willing to give me exit and is again harassing me about how I should pay compensation to the company. Even today he threatened me to impose huroob if I don't go for work and even refusing to pay my food allowance . Some of my other colleagues are facing the same issue. My agent is trying to contact the employer but he is not responding.

Since I'm new to ksa, I'm unaware about the legal procedures. Any help would be much appreciated.
